You can not only have some delicious food but experience  the feeling of being a Nawab

I had an opportunity to experience and gulp the tastiest food made by Hyderabadi Chef at the Grand Mercure. As Vilas, Head Chef at by the blue walked us through the variety of starters and counters they had to offer as part of this festival we were thrilled to taste it all. There was live counter for kababs and Haleems and interestingly there was a counter for Chai, they call it Iranian Chai as served in Hyderabad. They had good spread of Starters,Main course and desserts for both vegetarians and Non-vegetarians. Vilas explained to us on how they handpicked spices, and follow an art of slow cooking which will make you feel the rich flavours of exquisitely prepared dishes, which will undoubtedly tantalize your tastebuds.

The buffet dinner offers specialties from soups such as Gosht ka Marag, Badami Shorba, Tamatar aur Dhania ka Shorba to appetizers including Nizami Paneer Tikka, Pathar-ka-Gosht, Rajme ka Shikhampur, Aloo Neze Se and more. Guests can opt from a distinctive compilation of vegetarian and non-vegetarian entrees and live tandoor stations like Nazakati Dum Aloo, Hare Pyaaz ki Subzi, Dum ka Paneer, Rogani Machhli, Hyderabadi Murgh Korma, Haleem, Chicken Biryani, Kabuli Biryani. Culminate your gastronomical journey with sweet treats namely Qubani ka Meetha, Shahi Tukda, Zafrani Phirni, Sheer Khurma, Sharbati Sevaiyan and other indulgent desserts.

And each day, they have a slightly different menu for the dinner. I personally loved Murgh Angara and Ajwani fish tikka as the flavours of it were unique and tasty. Also a special mention to Pineapple chutni which stole the show amongst other chutneys.

Sridhar Sigatapu, Executive Chef in charge of F&B, Grand Mercure Bangalore shares that, “Each dish is exotic, unique and filled with traditional Hyderabadi flavours. Spend a regal evening at By The Blue restaurant with royal Nawabi food reflecting the rich culinary legacy of this legendary city.”

It was not just an evening with good food but the ambiance and the music was just perfect too. If you want to spend some quality time with your loved ones, you can visit this place sit near the pool and talk as you indulge in mouth watering dishes.
