DIY for Brighter Underarms

There is a certain charm about wearing a stylish sleeveless dress for a party or a nice gunjee for a casual meet up with friends. I love to style up my denims with a cute sleeveless top and be ready to go within minutes. However, there happens to be a slight mess when I wear sleeveless dresses. Besides making sure that my underarms are properly waxed, sometimes my underarm tend to be darker than the rest of my skin. As it turn out, this is a problem faced by many women out there.
Here are some of the probable reasons for dark underarms:
1. Poor hygiene
2. Usage of razor
3. Not exfoliating
4. Dryness
I will obviously present you with a solution of the above problem that I mention of. In fact,  I have not one but many different solutions for you to choose from. By now, you know me well enough to understand that my solutions will be completely natural. Pick one according to the ingredients present in your kitchen and your mood!
1. First method
Orange juice – 1tsp
Lemon juice – 5 drops
Honey – 1 tspBrighter Underarms
We use orange because it is rich in vitamin A and C. We use lemon because it has been known as a bleaching agent even before the time you and I were born. Honey is a natural moisturizer. Apply this mixture for 5-10 minutes before you bathe. This method lightens the underarms and also removes the odor allowing you to feel fresh and clean.
2. Second method
Cucumber juice – 2tsp
Lemon juice – 1tsp
Rice flour- 1 tspBrighter Underarms1

I have mentioned earlier how lemon is a natural bleaching agent. Turmeric has curcumin which is the anti-inflammatory and antioxidant in nature. Yogurt is again a natural moisturizer. Apply this mixture for around 30 minutes and wash it off.

Few tips for Lazy girls( Lazy Girls DIY) who wouldn’t want to include many ingredients here is what you can do:

You can rub a lemon in your armpits or apply a bit of turmeric over a half cut lemon and rub it in that area. Or you can also rub a slice of potato for awesome results.

Make sure that you exfoliate your underarms with a loofah everyday while you take a bath and moisturize it with a good body moisturizer. Usually, one ignores that part of the body leading to all the troubles!

As always, do try these methods at least for a month regularly – regularly being the keyword, to see a noticeable change in your armpits. Again, as always, remember to share your reactions on these ideas with me.
