Gift Beautiful City by OPPO & a Giveaway!

Its a great feeling to give back to the society we live in, even if its a small contribution. Helping people who are less fortunate always makes us happy and satisfied along with it being a good deed. OPPO, an ever evolving and leading global technology brand is doing its bit for the society with its Corporate Social Responsibility initiative campaign – “Beautiful City”. OPPO donated 2 lakh rupees to three NGOs across the cities – VIDYA Integrated Development for Youth and Adults (Gurgaon), Doorstep School (Mumbai) and Parikrama Foundation(Bangalore) who are part of this initiative and work towards education of the less privileged children. As a part of this initiative OPPO associated with Bollywood celebrities – Parineeti Chopra, Jacqueline Fernandez and Ayushmann Khurrana. Ayushmann and Jacqueline encouraged people to keep their cities beautiful by painting a graffiti wall in Gurgaon and Bangalore, where as Parineeti encouraged fans by painting a School Van in Mumbai.

By contributing to the beautiful city campaign, Jacqueline Fernandez donated an amount of INR 2 lakh to the Parikrama Foundation on behalf of OPPO for the betterment of the environment and society. She also shared her thoughts, “It feels great to be doing my bit for the city. Amongst all the chaos in our lives, doing something to make the city beautiful gives me immense calm and peace! Thank you OPPO for the great opportunity!”

This campaign by OPPO aims to highlight that the beauty of a city lies within the hands of its residents and all it takes to keep the city looking pleasing and clean is a little effort. By associating with various NGOs across the three cities, OPPO wants to expand horizons and spread awareness among the youth to protect the environment, keep it clean and beautiful. Engaging youth in environmental protection creates direct impact on changing youth behaviours and attitudes. With the celebrities OPPO wants to leverage an influential voice to spread the message of “Beautiful City” across the audience.

Since many months I have been thinking to run a contest where I want my followers to donate some good clothes in the slums near by their places. While they do this good deed and share it on social media, I could choose few winners and give some gifts. But as of now I do not have many gifts to give away so this idea is on hold as of now.
