RED – Dare to be Bold Salon and Spa Review

December – a month full of joy and happiness with Christmas and new year nearing. We get to see whole town in red and white color depicting Christmas. I had a great Christmas with family and friends and also visited Red Salon and Spa as I had to be ready for the new year. Or say, I just wanted some pampering session. This is a place which was widely spoken about among my friends as it is owned by one of our friend. I had to check it out myself!

Beautiful interiors with the red theme is what I saw as I walked into the Spa. I was greeted by Priya, beauty therapist and then I went to meet Vidya.  “Red is a color which is considered to be bold and symbol of love. Women who wear red dress or red lipstick are supposed to be daring is what society thinks and I want every women to be bold in which ever field they are in” said Vidya, owner of Red Salon and Spa when I asked her what made her name it Red.

I chose to get Facial and a hair cut. They have best therapist Priya who has around 15 years experience in consulting and beauty care. Hair stylist, Abhishek who has been in the industry for a long time and known to create magic when he holds the scissors. Priya asked if I would need a facial which gives glow or for brightening. I went for the gold facial which would give the glow in my face I can flaunt, I usually do not prefer whitening treatments or creams. She also made sure she has enough information about my skin type and if I have any allergies. Service was for 1 hour which included facial massage with cleansing milk, anti tan face pack, scrub, steam, white head removal, massage and a peel off mask. She also used a machine on my face which is meant to clear pores and tighten the skin, before using she asked if I have any metal fillings in my tooth. I loved the service as it was to the point and she explained what would each step do and also made the treatment personalized to my skin.

I moved on to get the hair cut after a refreshing Facial. Though I had washed my hair in the morning, Abhishek suggested he would wash it as facial oils would have entered the hair strands. Post the hair wash, he asked me if I’m particular about any hair cut type. I wanted to maintain the length and get few layers which I mentioned to him. He took about 30 minutes to cut and blow dry my hair and I loved the way it looked. Not at all short yet had the bounce and layers across my face.
